Who may be considered for nomination to the LRC Board of Directors?

Any LRC member in good standing who has been a member of the Club for at least three (3) years is eligible for nomination. Current Directors whose terms expire at the end of 2026 may also be considered.

Are current Directors automatically re-nominated?

No. Directors whose terms are expiring are not automatically re-nominated. All potential candidates—current Directors and eligible members—are reviewed by the Nominating Committee which selects an official slate of four individuals.

How many Directors will be nominated in 2026?

LRC members will elect four (4) Directors from those on the official slate put forth by the Nominating Committee plus those individuals who are placed on the ballot via the petition process.

How many Directors can I vote for?

You may vote for up to four (4) Directors.

How many Directors will there be in 2027 in total?

As part of the Board reduction process ratified by the membership in 2025, there will be 17 Directors in 2027.

What is the length of a Director’s term?

A Director serves a three-year term beginning January 1 following the election.

What are the expectations of an LRC Director?

Serving as a Director involves more than attending Board meetings. Directors are expected to:

  • Actively participate in Club governance and decision-making
  • Serve on committees or support Club initiatives
  • Contribute time and resources to advance the Club’s mission
  • Work collaboratively and in the best interest of the LRC
What is Elect-US?

Elect-US is a well-respected election management firm hired by the LRC Board to review and validate the petitions, create, send and count the ballots, and report results.

How will ballots be sent out?

Ballots will be sent out via the method (electronic or USPS) individual members selected to receive Club notices. The ballot mailing list was created on August 24, 2026.

When will ballots be sent out?

Ballots will be sent out on September 1, 2026 and must be received by Elect-US by 9 AM on September 28. USPS mailed ballots must be returned in the business reply envelope provided.

When will results be announced?

Results announced October 1, at the Annual Member Meeting to be held at the conclusion of the Banquet at the National in Tenino, Washington. (The meeting will start no earlier than 8:00 PM.)
